transponders BXP6403-1-(XX) class 1, BXP6403-2-(XX) class 2.

instructions for the Mode S transponder.

Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Becker ATC Mode S transponder. The transponder can be
installed in the instrument panel and is easy to operate.
To fully utilise the capabilities of your transponder, please read the operating instructions
carefully before you start operating the set.
If you have any questions regarding the operation of the transponder, please get in touch
with your nearest Becker Dealer or with the Becker Customer Service.

2.1 Safety information

• The installation of the Mode S transponder into an aircraft may be carried out only
by an authorized installation company. The country specific regulations always have
to be observed.
• The programming of the address module AM 6400-1 with the ICAO 24-bit address
of the aircraft must be carried out only at an installation company or in the
manufacturer factory.
• Do not switch on the unit before the aircraft engines are started. Switch off the unit
before the engines are shut down.
• Do not operate the unit under ambient temperatures below -20°C and above +70°C.
