Beschreibung des Menüs GPS SETUP
sMOOtH POs
(Positionsglättung)
Bei ungünstiger DOP (Dilution of
Precision, Verringerung der Genauig-
keit bei der Positionsbestimmung) oder
schlechten Empfangsbedingungen kann
sich die GPS-Positionsbestimmung stark
ändern, auch wenn sich das Schiff gar
nicht bewegt. Diese Änderungen können
durch Glättung der Rohdaten zur GPS-
Positionsbestimmung positiv beeinflusst
werden. Der Einstellbereich liegt zwi-
schen 0 (keine Glättung) bis 999 Sekun-
den. Eine höhere Einstellung verstärkt
die Glättung der Rohdaten. Bei einer zu
hohen Einstellung erhöht sich jedoch die
Reaktionszeit bei Änderungen der Brei-
ten- und Längengrade. Dies ist besonders
auffällig bei hohen Schiffsgeschwindig-
keiten. „0" ist die Normaleinstellung. Die
Einstellung ist zu erhöhen, wenn sich die
GPS-Positionsbestimmung stark ändert.

(Glätten von Geschwindigkeit und Kurs)
Während der Positionsbestimmung wird
die Schiffsgeschwindigkeit (Geschwin-
digkeit und Kurs) direkt mittels Empfang
von GPS-Satellitensignalen gemessen.
Die rohen Geschwindigkeitsdaten ändern
sich dabei nach dem Zufallsprinzip und
je nach den Empfangsbedingungen und
anderen Faktoren. Sie können diese
zufälligen Abweichungen durch eine Er-
höhung der Glättung reduzieren. Ähnlich
wie bei der Glättung von Breiten- und

Längengraden geht mit einer zunehmen-
den Glättung von Geschwindigkeit und
Kurs auch eine Glättung der Rohdaten
einher. Bei einer zu hohen Einstellung
verlangsamt sich jedoch die Reaktion bei
Geschwindigkeits- und Kursänderungen.
Der Einstellbereich liegt zwischen 0 (kei-
ne Glättung) bis 9999 Sekunden.
aVR. sPeed
(Geschwindigkeitsmittelung)
Die Berechnung von bspw. ETA und TTG
beruht auf der durchschnittlichen Schiffs-
geschwindigkeit über einen bestimmten
Zeitraum. Ein zu langer bzw. zu kurzer
Zeitraum bewirkt Berechnungsfehler.
Ändern Sie diese Einstellung, wenn bei der
Berechnung Fehler auftreten. Voreingestellt
sind 60 Sekunden. Der Einstellbereich liegt
zwischen 0 (keine Mittelung) bis 9999
Sekunden.
LAT/LON OFFSET
(Ausgleich Breitengrad/Längengrad)
Sie können die vom GPS-Empfänger er-
mittelte Position durch einen Ausgleichs-
faktor der Breiten- und Längengrade
korrigieren und so die Positionsgenauig-
keit erhöhen.
