Operation Instructions
Introduction
In many competitions the pilots have experienced that during a competition - both Precision
Flying and Navigation Flying - all human senses except the hearing are very tense. Hearing
is generally used only for engine controlling or for communication. This consideration forced
the "Deutscher Präzisionsflug Verein" in the past to develop a mechanical – electronically
Time Voice Box whose "voice" announced the time in minutes and seconds every fifteen
seconds. With this devise the pilot was released from monitoring time and could concentrate
on more important subjects.
The Time Voice Box's functions electronically and the built in processor offers several
possibilities to show and to announce the time ( local time - elapsed time ).
Construction
On the front side of the Voice Box a four digits LCD - display is situated at the upper third.
Below the display you find four buttons of grey colour (
A
,
B
,
C
,
D
) which serve to select
the modes.
On the upper side of the box on the left side there is a
On/Off -
Switch, which is protected
against the malfunction. Two standard jacks for earphones ( 32 Ohm ) are placed beside the
on/off- switch .
When opening the cover on the back side you can put in a normal 9 Volt battery or an storage
battery of corresponding size.
