Round Scale
• You can read off the water temperature on the thermometer of the round scale.
• If the water container is empty the room temperature is displayed.
Preparation
• Before using for the fi rst time, boil fresh water at least twice in the appliance.
Use only water without any additives or ingredients.
• The section of the mains lead that is not required can be wound up on the fl oor
of the base.
Important Information
• Always use fresh water.
• Do not consume any water that has already been in the water container for
more than one hour.
• Do not re-boil water that has been allowed to cool down.
• Always pour old water away.
1. Place the machine on a fl at surface.
2. Open the kettle with the button in the handle. Fill it with water. Fill only up to the
maximum mark (MAX). You can check the level on both sides of the appliance
with the water level display.
3. Close the lid.
4. Place the kettle fl ush on the base.
5. Electrical connection
• Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as
that of the machine. Details are to be found on the label on the base.
• Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V, 50 Hz safety
socket.
6. Switch on the kettle by pressing the switch. To control lamp lights up.
7. When the water is boiling the kettle switches itself off automatically unless
you press the switch to interrupt or stop the water from boiling. Danger of
scalding! When pouring the water out, keep the lid closed.
Switching off
• If you do not wish to use the kettle any more, please turn the switch to 0 (off)
and then remove the plug from the socket.
• Emptying the water container.
