3. General
The instruction manual has been written for the user of the Homecleaner.
If following the directions in this instruction manual properly, the unit will work without failure. Always use cleaning agents
recommended by the manufacturer. Very often damage has occured to the unit or to surfaces when not using recommended
cleaning agents.
Unpack the Homecleaner and identify all parts as listed in figure 1 of this leaflet.
The Homecleaner has four functions:
Dry vacuum cleaner
Wet vacuum cleaner
4. Using the Homecleaner as a dry vacuum cleaner
For vacuum cleaning the waste water tank (9), the spray hose
with spraying valve (11) and the waste water tube (7) are not
required.
Fit the paper bag (18) to the connecting point (8) inside the
cleaner body and place cover (10) on top of the tank.
Insert and press the vacuum hose (12) end to the cleaner body
into the connector (6).
Insert the handle (14) end of the hose into the extension tube
(15) and push together. To separate twist and pull apart.
Fit the carpet/hardfloor tool (17) into the tube. The nozzle has
foot operated levers to adjust the position of the brush as
follows:
- for hardfloor cleaning exit the brush by pressing the lever
- for cleaning carpet insert the brush by pressing the lever
If required the other three tools can be used with or without the
extension tubes:
5. Using the Homecleaner as a wet vacuum cleaner
•
To pick up liquid remove dustbag (18) and fit the water tube
inside cleaner body by pressing it onto the connector.
•
Place waste water tank (9) provided less than 7 litres of
water is to be vacuumed or place float (23) over the central
stem if more than 7 litres is to be vacuumed.
•
To pick up liquid you must fit the vacuum hose only.
6. Using the Homecleaner as a carpet extractor and hardfloor cleaner
Before using the Homecleaner as a carpet extractor or as a hardfloor cleaner:
•
clear ornaments and all removable furniture from the room.
•
thoroughly vacuum clean the carpet
•
treat heavy stains with a pre-cleaner
For best results use carpet care products recommended by the manufacturer. They have been developed especially to give the
deep down cleaning and maintain fibre colour fastness. All these products are friendly to your environment and safe to use with all
Assembly and operation:
1. Disconnect from the electrical supply, remove the transparent cover and remove paper dustbag.
2. Mount waste water tube on the inside of the cleaner body where dustbag was removed.
3. Assemble carpet extraction accessories as follows:
3.1 Attach the spray and suction
nozzle into the tube
Carpet extractor
Hardfloor cleaner
Upholstery tool
stairs
Dusting brush
Crevice tool
To reduce suction power adjust the thumb control on the
handle.
Pressing the switch marked „Vacuum" (2) will now start the
machine. Do not press the switch marked „Pump" as this
button is only required for spray-extraction.
After cleaning the cable can be wound around the cleaner body
for easier storage.
IMPORTANT !!!
When changing the Homecleaner back to vacuum cleaning
after carpet extraction or any other wet usage, make sure that
all wet parts are dried. Humidity can cause the paper dustbag
Remove the spray jet for the suction nozzle (16). Place the
hardfloor slide (22) on the suction nozzle (16).

For floor spillage we suggest you use the squeegee which
is available as a special accessory.
•
For blocked sinks, defrosting etc. use only the extension
tube or just the handle.
3.2. Attach the
connector by inserting into
the quick connector firmly
until it clicks. Insert and press
the hose end to the cleaner
body.
