Installing the wireless doorbell button
The wireless doorbell button can be glued to a clean, dry, flat, dust-free
surface using the double-sided glue pad on the back. In so doing, you must
mount the wireless doorbell button such that the transparent cover for the
name plate points downward and the button upward.
We recommend carrying out a function test in conjunction with the wire-
less chime before gluing the button in place to see whether an error-free
wireless reception is possible.
There is a transparent cover on the front. This can be easily removed so that
you can insert a name plate (dimensions for the name plate: 37.5 x 28.5 mm).
Getting started with the wireless chime
Connect the wireless chime to a standard mains socket (wall socket).
The wireless chime is now ready for use. The manufacturer has already reg-
istered the wireless doorbell button with the wireless chime, so that the wire-
less chime reacts when the wireless doorbell button is pushed.
However, you can also register the doorbell button yourself; see the sec-
tion "Registering the wireless doorbell button with the wireless chime".

Operation

a) Choosing the ring tone on the wireless chime
To switch to the next ring tone, briefly press the "
chime. For checking the ring tone, the melody is played once.
In all, there are 25 different ring tones available.
b) Choosing the sound volume
Briefly pressing the "
" button on the wireless chime allows you to adjust
the volume during ring tone playback in 3 steps.
c) Pressing the wireless doorbell button to trigger a ring tone
Press the button on the front of the wireless doorbell button. Press the button
in until you hear a click.
This action causes the piezoelectric technology to generate sufficient current
to be able to send the wireless signal.
Thanks to this technology, the wireless doorbell button needs neither a
battery nor another external power supply.
When the wireless chime receives the signal from the wireless doorbell but-
ton, the currently selected ring tone plays. In addition, two blue LEDs flash
behind the silver cover.
d) Registering the wireless doorbell button with the wireless chime
The manufacturer has already registered the wireless doorbell button
with the wireless chime, so that the wireless chime reacts when the wire-
less doorbell button is pushed. Therefore, a new registration is not nor-
mally required.
Should the wireless chime not react to the wireless doorbell button (al-
though it is nearby), however, you can execute the registration process
as a test.
Up to 6 wireless doorbell buttons can be registered at one wireless
chime; one wireless doorbell button can be registered at any desired
number of wireless chimes.
• To start the registration mode on the wireless chime, the chime must be
plugged in and ready to operate. Then press the registration button on the
back of the wireless chime for 5 seconds.
• Press the wireless doorbell button within 30 seconds. If the wireless chime
emits a ring tone, the wireless doorbell button is registered.
If you press the registration button on the back of the wireless chime for
more than 10 seconds, the wireless chime emits a ring tone; the regis-
tered wireless doorbell button is deleted from the memory.
Range
The transmission range for the wireless signals between the wireless doorbell
button and the wireless chime is up to 100 metres under optimum conditions.
This value, however, is the so-called "open space range" (the range
when wireless doorbell button and wireless chime are visible to each
other, without interfering influences).
In practice, however, there are walls, ceilings of rooms, etc. between the
transmitter and the receiver, which reduce the range accordingly.
Due to the different influences on the wireless transmission, no specific range
can be guaranteed.
However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a single family house.
Sometimes the range can be considerably reduced due to:
• Walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• Coated/metallised insulated glass
• Proximity to metallic & conductive objects (e.g., heating elements)
• Proximity to human bodies
• Devices on the same transmission frequency (e.g., baby monitoring sys-
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power supply units, computers
