FS1 Wireless doorbell, battery-free
Item no. 1417379

Intended use

The product consists of a wireless chime with integrated speakers and a wire-
less doorbell button. When the wireless doorbell button is pressed, it wire-
lessly activates a ring tone from the wireless chime (25 different ring tones
selectable); 2 blue LEDs also flash. The playback volume of the ring tones can
be adjusted in 3 steps.
The wireless chime is supplied with power by the mains.
The wireless doorbell button requires neither batteries nor another external
power supply. Pressing the doorbell button generates enough energy for the
wireless signal through a piezoelectric element.
The wireless bell push is protected according to IP44 and can be used in pro-
tected outdoor areas (e.g., under eaves). The wireless chime may be used
only in dry, enclosed areas indoors.
Please read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If

a) General
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not
permitted for safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not disassemble
the product.
• Any maintenance or repair work may be performed only by an expert.
• The product is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children.
• Do not operate the device in environments where there are high levels
of dust, flammable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of fire
and explosion!
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although
the product only emits relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to
the malfunction of life-support systems. The same may also apply to
other areas.
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around, since it could
become a dangerous plaything for children.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Facilities are to be observed!
• If you have any questions that are not answered in these operating
instructions, please contact our technical department or another spe-
cialist.
b) Wireless chime
• The design of the wireless chime complies with Safety Class II. Use
only a standard mains socket as the power source for the wireless
chime.
Before connecting to the mains, check whether the connection values
on the type plate of the wireless chime match those of your home pow-
er supply.
• The mains socket into which the wireless chime is plugged must be
easily accessible.
• Never use the wireless chime in the direct vicinity of a bathroom,
shower, bathtub or similar. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric
shock!
• The wireless chime is intended for use in dry, enclosed interiors only;
it must not get damp or wet. Failure to observe this poses a danger to
life from electric shock!
• Never touch, operate, plug in or unplug the wireless chime with damp
or wet hands. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
• The wireless chime must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, di-
rect sunlight or strong vibrations. Never operate the wireless chime
directly next to a heat source.
• If the wireless chime is damaged, do not touch it; there is a danger to
life from electric shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the wireless
chime is connected (switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or
remove the safety fuse or switch off at the corresponding RCD protec-
tive switch, so that the socket is fully disconnected).
Only then should you disconnect the wireless chime from the mains
socket; do no use it any longer.
• Devices that operate on the mains voltage must be kept out of the
reach of children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are
around. Install the wireless chime out of the reach of children.
• Never use the wireless chime immediately after it has been taken from
a cold room into a warm one. The condensation produced may destroy
the wireless chime. Furthermore, this could cause a lethal electric
shock!
Allow the wireless chime to reach room temperature before connect-
ing it to the power supply and putting it to use. This may take several
hours.
• Never pour any liquids above or next to the wireless chime. You run the
risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric shock.
If any liquid has still happened to enter the device, immediately turn
off the power supply to the mains socket to which the wireless chime
is connected (turn off the fuse/circuit breaker/residual current operated
circuit breaker of the associated circuits).
Only then can you unplug the wireless chime from the mains socket
and contact a specialist. Do not use the wireless chime any longer.
c) Wireless doorbell button
• The outdoor sensor is suitable for use in sheltered outdoor areas (e.g.,
under a roof overhand). It must not be used in or under water, this will
destroy it.
