Proper use
The power adapter is intended for operation with information technology devices,
e.g. digital cameras. The wide-range input enables operation on a power supply from
100 to 240 V~ 50/60 Hz. A stabilized direct voltage from 5V to 24V can be selected in
1V intervals. Eight different adapters are included with the power adapter suitable for
the most common low voltage power loads used in information technology, e.g. digi-
tal cameras. A polarity selection is possible by reversing the polarity of the adapter.
The power consumption of the load may not exceed the power rating of the adapter
(according to voltage setting).
An exceedance leads to overloading the power adapter; the output will be shunted in
the event of overloading from short-circuiting or excessive current consumption.
The power adapter technology allows a high output current with small size and low
weight.
Operation under adverse conditions is not permitted. Adverse conditions are:
• Moisture or excessive humidity
• Dust or flammable gasses, vapours or solvents.
Another use than the one described above leads to damages to the product and is
also associated with dangers like short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. Operation is
only allowed with the enclosed power cable.
