In commercial institutions, make sure you observe the accident prevention regulati-
ons of the commercial trade organization for electric installations.
Operation under adverse conditions is not permitted. Adverse conditions are:
• moisture or excessive humidity
• dust or flammable gasses, vapours or solvents
The device becomes warm during operation; allow for proper ventilation. The hou-
sing may not be covered!
Never switch on the device immediately if it has been taken from a cold area into a
warm area. The developing condensation can destroy the device under unfavourable
conditions. Let the switched-off device come to room temperature.
If it has been ascertained that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must
be taken out of operation and secured against accidental reactivation. It can be
ascertained that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• the device shows visible damage
• the device no longer functions and
• after longer storage under unfavourable conditions or
• after heavy transport stresses
Observe the safety instructions in the individual sections here or in the operating
instructions of the connected devices.

Operation
Setting the desired output voltage
CAUTION! Only switch on the output voltage when not under current! Heed the ope-
rating voltage of the connected power load!
The output voltage on the power adapter is selected by inserting the enclosed volta-
ge selection plug (5) into the voltage selection socket (2).
The respective voltage values of the voltage selection plug are indicated (6V = 6 Volt,
etc.). It can be used to select an output voltage from 5 to 24 V in 1V intervals.
Proceed as follows for the voltage adjustment:
- Pull out the power plug; the power adapter must be
without current.
- Select a plug from one of the 20 voltage selection
plugs that corresponds with the input voltage of your
power load.
- Connect this to the voltage selection socket on the
side (the rounded edges of the plug and adapter hou-
sing must correspond) and slide it straight into the hou-
sing until it clearly snaps into place.
- To change the voltage, slide the plug out against the arrow direction (see illustrati-
on) and insert the desired voltage selection plug. A flat screwdriver or fingernail
can be used to slide it out. Insert to the inner edge of the plug.
Make sure to push the plug horizontally into the socket.
