4.0 MAINTENANCE

During the working life of the breakglass unit, it should require little or no maintenance. However, if abnormal or
unusual environmental conditions occur due to plant damage or accident etc., then visual inspection is recom-
mended.
5.0 APPROVALS
Certified to
EN50014 EN50018, EN50019, EN50028, EN50281-1-1.
(Tamb. –20°C to +50°C)
EExed IIC T6 (Switch only).
EExedm IIC T4 (Other versions)
ATEX certificate No. BAS02ATEX2105X.
The ATEX certificate and the product label carry the ATEX group and category marking:
II2GD.
Where
signifies compliance with ATEX.
II signifies suitability for use in surface industries.
2 signifies suitability for use in a zone 1 and zone 2 area.
GD signifies suitability for use in the presence of gas and dust.

6.0 ELECTRICAL RATINGS

(a) For versions which are equipped with up to two microswitches only – the maximum values for each switch
fitted are as specified in Table 1;

(b) For versions which are equipped with the encapsulated housing – the maximum system values are 24V and
0.05A or 6V and 0.2A independent of the number of units connected in the system.

7.0 SPECIAL CONDITIONS

1) The units must not be incorporated in systems which limit the electrical supply ratings to the values above.
2) The wiring loom between the fixed and detachable enclosure shells must be located, during assembly, such
that the conductors and the restraint loop are not trapped in the sealing face between shells.
