Cleaning the espresso spout, fi lter and fi lter holder
1. Ensure that the device is switched off and disconnected from the mains!
2. Take the fi lter holder (19) out of the device.
3. Remove any used espresso powder by fl ipping the fi lter holding clip (20) and taking
out the used espresso powder.
4. Remove the fi lter (14+15) (see chapter "Start-up") from the fi lter holder (19).
5. Clean the fi lters (14+15) and fi lter holder (19) with warm water and cleaner. ATTEN-
TION: Filter and fi lter holder are not suitable for the dishwasher.
6. Rinse it with clean water and carefully dry all parts.
7. Place the fi lter holder (19) (without espresso powder) back in the device.
8. If applicable, fi ll the water tank (13) with water.
If you would like to decalcify the water tank (13) and the lines, you can add
commercially-available decalcifi er for coffee makers to the water. Please
follow the operating instructions of the manufacturer for this. You should
rinse out the water tank with water after decalcifying and perform at least one
cleaning cycle with just water (without decalcifi er) in the water tank.
9. Place a suitable container on the cup grate (9) under the espresso spout.
10. Switch the device on and wait until the LED indicator (2) continuously illuminates.
11. Push the Espresso button once to rinse the lines.
12. Once water has stopped running through the espresso spout (18) and the LED indi-
cator (2) is continuously illuminated, the cleaning process is complete.
13. Remove the container with the leftover water.
14. Always switch the device off and disconnect the mains plug from the socket if you are
not using the device anymore.

Cleaning the water tank

1. Ensure that the device is switched off and disconnected from the mains!
2. Remove the water tank (13) and leftover water.
3. Clean the water tank (13) and the water tank cover with warm water and a mild de-
tergent or in the dishwasher.
The water tank may be cleaned in the dishwasher. Please keep in mind, however,
that the surface could be scratched if cleaned frequently in the dishwasher.
4. Rinse it with clean water and carefully dry all parts.
5. Put the water tank (13) back in the device.
Cleaning the device housing
1. Ensure that the device is switched off and disconnected from the mains!
2. If needed, clean the device housing with a damp, soft cloth.

15. Do not store the fi lter holder (19) in the device! Always
remove it when you are not using it and put it in the desig-
nated holder on the side of the device (see fi gure).
