3. Function
The blocking element is installed in the door frame of the final door instead of the face plate used
so far.
If the door lock already installed in the door is locked, the deadbolt penetrates the face plate after
overcoming the clearance between the door frame and the door leaf.
The switch lever of the blocking element is directly behind the face plate which extends a plastic
bolt in the direction of the door due to the movement of the deadbolt. A borehole must be drilled in
the door leaf which the bolt can penetrate.
With an armed intrusion detection central unit, the bolt is locked when extended.
If the lock is unintentionally unlocked before disarming, the locked bolt prevents access and thus a
false alarm. The bolt switching contact can no longer be activated!
When disarmed, the bolt is unlocked via the release signal (disarmed) and pulled back into the
initial position when unlocked by a spring. Access is now enabled.
The bolt breaks when the shearing force is subject to excess strain.
Deformation cannot occur.
A broken bolt can be replaced (see accessories).
The integrated bolt switching contact is activated shortly before the bolt reaches the end
position.
With the DIN lock (and many other locks), the second lock turn Is required to extend the bolt
sufficiently.
If the bolt cannot be extended
into the end position without damaging the blocking element.
In this case, the bolt switching contact is not activated.
The system cannot be armed.
(e.g. due to jamming), the deadbolt can still be moved
