650W halogen
HENSEL Studiotechnik
The MONO MAX units come usually with a fuse 3,15 A fast
(3,15 Af) for operation with 650 W halogen modeling light. In
case of operating with a modeling lamp 300W halogen, the
fuse has to be checked and, if necessary, exchanged by a
fuse 1,6 AF. It is very important to replace fuses only with the
specified value.
A wrong fuse may cause an explosion of the halogen
modeling lamp.
Charging of the capacitors and electronics are protected by
the automatic fuse 22.
In case of shut off the operation mode can be reinstated by
pressing push-button 22.
Replacement of modeling lamp
Replace modeling lamp only during unit is switched off and
unplugged from the mains outlet.
Use modeling lamps max. 650W halogen.
Make sure that the modeling lamp is protected by the
specified fuse (see paragraph replacement of fuses above).
Wait till modeling lamp has cooled down, and, when the glass
dome is in use, then carefully remove it from the unit by
pulling it out of the spring mechanism and moving it straight
away without touching modeling lamp or flashtube (danger!).
Handle halogen lamp with care because of the high pressure
inside. Pull out halogen lamp and replace the modeling lamp
with a new one.
As mentioned before make sure that the right fuse is applied
in accordance to the modeling lamp in use.
Avoid touching the halogen lamp with your fingers; this
causes a higher risk of explosion of the halogen lamp.
Regular inspection
National safety regulations require regular inspection and
maintenance of electrical systems and appliances. Compact
flash units and accessories must be regularly checked for
safe operation. Yearly inspection of the appliances serves the
safety of the user and protects your investment in the system.
Return to customer service
To achieve a maximum protection of the unit sending it in for
service, the original packaging should be kept.
