Troubleshooting

Whenever the appliance fails to work, check for a solution from the following list before calling for Assistance.

Problem:
The dishwash er doe s not s tart
or cannot be c on trolled.
The door won't close.

Possible causes / Solutions:
• Switch off the appliance by pressing the O N/OFF button , switch it back
on after a pprox imately one minute and rese t the prog ra m.
• The appl iance h as not been plugg ed in p rop e rly.
• The dishwash e r d oor h as no t been shut pro pe rly.
• The lock was released. Strongly push the door until a "clacking" noise is heard.
• The dishwasher cycle has not yet f inis hed.
• The wate r inlet hose is be nt (see Installation ).
• The drain duct is blocked.
• The filter is clo gged u p with food resid ues.
• The dishes are rattling agai n st each other o r a gainst the sprayer a rms.
• An ex cessive amoun t of foa m has been produce d : the d eterg ent has not
been me asure d out correctly or it is not sui table for use i n dishwashe rs
(see Start -u p and use).
• The level of th e refi ned salt is low or the dosa ge setting is n ot suited to
the hardness o f the wate r (see Rinse ai d and salt).
• The lid on th e salt dispenser is not closed p rope rly.
• The rinse ai d h as bee n used up or the d osa ge is too low.
• The rinse ai d d osag e is too high.
• A wash cycle without a drying pro gram h as been selecte d.
• The rinse aid has been used up or the dosage is too low (see Rinse aid and salt).
• The rinse ai d dis pense r setting is not suitabl e.
• The crockery is made from n on-stick material o r pl astic.
• The racks are overl oad ed (s ee Loa ding th e racks).
• The crockery h as not bee n a rra nge d well.
• The sprayer arms cannot mo ve freely.
• The wash cycle is too gentle (see Wash cycl es).
• An excessive a mount of foa m has been pro duce d: the d eterg ent has not
been me asure d out correctly or it is not sui table for use i n dishwashe rs
(see Start -u p and use).
• The lid on th e rinse ai d compartmen t h as not been shut correctly .
• The filter is dirty or blocked (see Ca re an d m ainten ance ).
• The refin ed sa lt level is low (see Rinse ai d and salt).
• There is no wa ter i n the mai ns supply.
• The wate r inlet hose is be nt (see Installation ).
• Turn o n the tap an d the ap pl iance will start after a fe w minutes.

• The appl iance lock has bee n activ ated because no action was taken
when th e bee p s sounde d.
Switch off the appliance usi ng the ON/OFF butto n, turn on the tap a nd
switch the app liance back on after 20 secon ds by pressing the same
button. Re -program the ap pl iance and restart the wash cycle.
• Switch off the appliance by pressing the O N/OFF button . Shut off the
water tap to e l iminate the risk of flooding an d remove the pl ug from the
electrical sock et.
Make sure the wate r inlet filt er has not beco me blocked by impurities
(see "Care and maint ena nce " chapter).
