Installation in connection with an integrated heat
pump manager
5.1 Mounting
Fig. 5.1: Mounting the solar module for devices with an integrated heat pump
manager
5.2 Electrical connection
5.2.1 Power supply
The power supply is connected to the device via a cable supplied
by the customer to terminals X1: L/N/PE
5.2.2 Bus connection to the integrated heat pump manager
The electrical connection of the heat pump manager to the solar
module adds the solar function to the existing heat pump man-
ager.

Extension module N17.4 is assigned address 4. The address is
already preset on the extension module's DIP switches.
5.2.3 Further wiring important for functionality
Remove the copper bridge from the heat pump manager before
connecting the green and yellow coloured terminals X3/3 and X3/
4 to terminals X3/3 and X3/4 on the heat pump manager, accord-
ing to the connection diagram.
Immersion sleeves are provided at the collector sensor (PT1000)
and the solar cylinder sensor (NTC10) connection points. Before

The solar module is attached to the wall with the 3 screws and
dowels (6 mm) included in the scope of supply in such a way that
protection from accidental contact is ensured. The following in-
stallation procedure must be followed to avoid soiling or damag-
ing the controller:
Mount the dowels for the upper fastening eyelet at operator
level.
Screw the screw into the dowel so that the controller can be
hung onto it.
Mount the controller by the upper fastening eyelet.
Mark the position of the side fastening eyelets.
Unhook the controller.
Mount the dowels for the side fastening eyelets.
Remount the controller at the top and tighten the screws.
The fuse protection must correspond to the specification on the
type plate and all applicable regulations.
This connection is made on site using a screened 2 x 0.5 mm²
cable with a maximum length of 50 m. The connecting cable
must be connected according to the connection diagram for rele-
vant the heat pump manager:
the sensors are inserted into the immersion sleeve, it must be
coated with a thin layer of heat transfer compound.
The sensor cables can be extended up to a length of 100 m. The
following cable cross-sections can be used:
0.75 mm² up to 50 m length
1.5 mm² up to 100 m length
