GENERAL
The LAKE PEOPLE SRC F422 consists of a
sync unit and one or two asynchronous
sample-rate-converters of highest quality.
It converts a digital audio signal relative to its
own or an external clock with a ratio from 1:16
to 16:1, whereas the actual sample rate may
stretch from 28 to 210 kHz.
The unit contains a DSP called SRC 4392 from
Texas Instruments, specially developed for this
purpose.
The word lenght at the input may equal up to
24 bits, while output word lenght is 24 bits.
During down sampling, the audio frequency
range of the incoming digital signal is auto-
matically adapted to the output sample rate
selected.
The sync unit offers external WCLK-, AES-id-
and AES/EBU-sync inputs. Also an internal
oscillator is provided. It may be switched to 32,
44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.2 and 192 kHz internal
sample rate.
Each SRC unit offers two digital inputs. The
balanced input is equippend with an XLR
connector, the unbalanced input is equipped
with a BNC connector.
The digital input formats AES/EBU and S/P-
DIF(professional and consumer format) are
supported.
The desired input is activated with a button on
the frontpanel.
Each SRC unit contains two digital outputs:
balanced and coaxial. Both outputs contain the
same digital audio format. It may be set to
professional- or consumer-mode.
THE CASE
The grounded case is made of 1 - 2 mm thick
stainless steel. This provides high mechanical
stability and resistance against rough handling.
The surfaces of the case are not treated with
any material, so providing excellent electrical
con-ductances for optimum EMC character-
istics.
THE POWER SUPPLY
Mains is connected via a built-in IEC-CEE
mains socket. The switched power supply
offers a multi-mode input covering the range
from 90 to 260 V AC mains voltage.
The "POWER" switch is situated on the front
panel. Power status is displayed by a LED
located below the power switch.
The power supply generates a stabilized 5 V
DC voltage to feed the digital components.
THE MAINS FUSE
The fuse is internally soldered in place on the
power supply PCB.

A blown fuse may refer to internal problems
and should only been replaced during qualified
servicing works !!
POWER-UP
When turned on the unit runs a short boot
routine. During this period the inputs and
outputs are muted.
