1. Directions and guidelines
The handling of compressed, liquified or high pressure dissolved gases, especially those of self inflaming, corrosive,
inflammable and oxidizing gases or liquids, requires the knowledge of technical and national rules, directives and
regulations.
1.1. Norms and technical rules
EN ISO 7291"Pressure regulators for manifold systems used in welding, cutting and allied processes up to 300 bar. The
national health and safety directions and technical regulations have to be adhered by the operator.
Please keep care to all national laws, directives, norms and regulations which are to be followed for security reasons.
Gas installations may only be operated and maintained by qualified personnel instructed in:

1.2. Proper use

BMD 100-39S
The Semiautomaic BMD 100-39 is determined for expansion of compressed Nitroge, as well refined gases (Ar, He). The use
together with liquified gases is not allowed. The expansion follows out of one or two gas cylinders or gas bundles. The
operation can also follow out of two cylinders or bundles during the same time. This panel can not be used for fluids.

BMD 100-39
This gas panel with automatic change over is mounted onto a stainless steel console and consists of two one-stage
pressure regulators with inlet and outlet pressure gauge, a switch unit with two magnetic valves including control unit and
signal monitoring. In each case, after falling below boundary values (with a at the pressure gauges preset delay period) gas
supply will be changed over to the full cylinder. Check valves on both sides prevent the reflux of gas into the in each case
empty side. The user will be protected against operating errors by clear display and operator control functions.
This gas panel is used to process gas as nitrogen, hydrogen as well as rare gases (argon/helium) from cylinders or bundle
batteries for the optical maser material processing. It will be used always, when the central gas supply may not be
interrupted.
This gas panel BMD 100-39 serves as a pressure reducing unit for for pressurized nitrogen, oxygen as well as inert gases
(Ar, He). For all others gases as well as fluids this panel may not be used.

2. Sequence of assembly
Drill holes for stainless steel bracket, prepare and drill according to dimensions shown above.
Note: All gas installation units have been tested for leakage by the manufacturer. After mounting the system and before
operating, the complete system needs to be additionally tested for leakage, to detect leakage which could possibly occur
from improper transport or tensed mounting.
