Before Initial Use

Before you use the device, you must
• unpack the device and check it for transport damage,
• assemble the device.
CAUTION!
❐ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation!
❐ Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. These may
damage the device.
1. Take the device out of the packaging and remove all fi lms and stickers that may be
present.
2. Inspect the device for transport damage. If you notice any damage, do not use it(!),
but contact our customer service department.
3. Assemble the device.
4. Rinse the grill plate (3), the lid (1), the storage tray (6) and the fat drip tray (4) with
warm water and mild detergent and then dry all parts thoroughly. The storage tray
and the fat drip tray are suitable for the dishwasher.
5. You should perform the initial start-up without any food since odours or smoke may
develop due to coating residues that may still be present. Allow the device to heat
up while empty for approx. 15 minutes on highest level and with closed lid (see the
"Use" chapter). During this time, make sure that there is suffi cient ventilation.

Assembly

1. Insert the fi ve pedestals (12) on the pedestal basis (11) from
below.
2. Place the washer (13) on the pedestal basis (11) and secure it
with the supplied screws (14).
