4.0 Delivery and storage

ATTENTION! Always check delivery for completeness and damage!
The carrier (forwarder or railway) is to be informed immediately in case of transport damages. (s. yellow leaflet)
Please inspect your shipment for completeness and damages!
The machine is packed on pallet, it has to be transported by lift or fork truck. The packed machines are no
staple commodities!
Scope of supply: grinding machine with switch and power cable, spark guard, one grinding wheel 250x40x51 mm,
one grinding belt, operation instructions

5.0 Proper use

The combined wheel and belt grinder you have purchased is reliable in operation and built in accordance with the
latest state of the art. Hazards for life and limb can only arise for the user of this machine if he uses it improperly.
This machine is only suitable for conventional grinding of sparked metal using usual grinding tools.
Using the machine for any other purpose counts as using it in an improper manner. The manufacturer cannot held
liable for any damage resulting for the use of the machine in an improper manner. The user carries the so le
responsibility for such use. The machine may only be used, maintained and serviced by persons who are familiar
with the machine and who have been instructed in the relevant risks. The existing operating instructions should
be noticed and always be available. Any changes carried out to the machine other than by the manufacturer
remove the liability of the manufacturer for any damage that occurs as a result thereof.
6.0 Installation
Please check: The runs smooth and easily over the graphite plate and does not touch the end stop.
Voltage, frequency and mains fusing must correspond to the data shown on the machine sticker. A protective
ground is necessary. Mains fusing 10 A. If these data correspond, the machine can be used.

7.0 Setting to work

Before first use the grinding wheels must be checked for cracks which may result from inadequate
handling during transport.
Both spark shilds are not mounted. The must be fixed with the enclosed four screws according to the drawing.
The grinder must be placed and fixed on a machine pedestal or work bench.
Attention: take care for a firm seating of the grinding wheel.
Check turning direction without grinding belt and obey circulation of the belt itself. Both directions must
correspond.
Attention: check turning direction by engaging the machine shortly. Use low speed.
Otherwise grinding wheel and belt may cause damage
If turning direction is wrong, change two phases.
8.0 Belt change
Attention: for safety reasons, the machine must be separated from mains and the belt must be in idle state.
Unscrew star knob and clamping lever, remove cover and the fence. Slacken the belt with the star knob screw.
Now, the belt can be changed. The new belt can be mounted and adjusted.
Attention: Take care of the correct turning direction (obey arrow).
Manually move the contact wheel and check the belt to run in the center. Belt lenght must not differ 2mm in
lenght. Reassemble side wall. Material rest and contact wheel as well as the inner body must be cleaned
regularly. Tighten the belt by moving the star knob screw upwards. Reassemble cover, pull star knobs and
adjust the belt with the star knob screw.

8.1 Belt adjustment

First check if the grinding belt runs exactly on the contact wheel, if adjustment is needed, unfasten nut and
correct with adjustment knob. Fasten nut.
The grinding arm position is limited at 90° - vertical position.
Adjust the material rest as narrow as possible to the grinding belt. Distance is max. 2 mm
