9.0 grinding on the contact wheel
General grinding work like tools, welding seam is usually done on the contact wheel and material rest.
Adjust material rest with bolt. Align the material and grind at 90°.
Attention: Material must not touch contact wheel edges. Otherwise contact wheel may seriously damaged.
Belt protection remains closed.
10.0 Flat grinding
Work on the flat grinding area. Material is pressed strong on the graphite plate. Is is recommended to use
the complete width of the belt. This increases its lifetime.
11.0 Maintenance
Ensure that all moving parts are kept clean and that the belt is in good condition.
Never use a badly worn or torn belt.
12.0 Exhausting
For continous operation a dust exhaust system is necessary!
(exhaust system capacity for TSB 250 P min. 400 m³/h)
13.0 Change of grinding wheel
Assembly steps:
1) De-mounting of the protection hood.
2) Loosen nut.
3) De-mounting of grinding wheel and flange.
4) The inner flange remains on drive shaft.
5) Mounting of new wheel.
6) Check of true run (axial and radial) with tool such as chisel.
7) Correction of run out with plastic hammer and tightening of nut.
8) Assembly of hood, spark protection and tool support.
The distance between tool rest and grinding wheel should not exceed 3 mm.
9) Machine should run for about 5 min with no load. No person should be close the site.
Attention! Do not use damaged grinding wheels.
It is within tolerance that the grinding wheel turns with a radial and axial run out of 0,4 – 0,6 mm
at the outer perimeter.
Simply guide of wheel check:
Hang grinding wheel with the help of a thread. With a piece of hardwood knock on wheel.
A good wheel gives a clear sound. Do not drill holes into a grinding wheel.
By change of grinding wheel we recommend:
