and finish times on your video recorder and on the "Timer Programming" menu.
Sat record
The video output signal (pin 19 of the VCR socket) to the VCR is always available.
In the case of an active timer event, that is when your machine switches to the desired
channel at the pre-programmed time, 12 V are output at pin 8 of the VCR Scart socket
(12 V turn-on voltage).
A "Sat record" capable video recorder recognises this switching signal and automatically
switches to record. On completion of the recording pin 8 is connected as an input again
and is ready for the connection of the VCR signal on playback.
Record link
The video output signal (pin 19 of the VCR socket) to the video recorder is only available
in the case of an active timer event. Pin 8 of the VCR Scart socket is connected as an
input.
N.B.:
Only use the "Record link" setting when you have a suitable video recorder! Note
that without an active timer event, that is in the normal daily use of your satellite
receiver, no video signal is available at the VCR socket in the "Record link"
operating mode.

Digital audio
There are two operating modes for the digital output of your satellite receiver:
Standard
The signal at the digital output is coded in PCM format ("PCM").
Dolby digital/AC-3
digital" operating mode. When your satellite receiver receives a Dolby digital coded
audio signal, then the digital output is automatically switched from PCM format to Dolby
digital format ("AC-3").
N.B.:
In either operating mode you can check the current format of the signal at the
digital output at any time after pressing key A and of course make a different
selection as required (see section 3.6).

N.B.:
For certain units only use the {OFF} setting, as otherwise the receiver
continues to supply power to the LNB also in standby mode.
The power consumption of the receiver can thus increase from 2 watts to up
to 10 watts in standby mode.

The LNB power remains on in standby mode, e.g. to supply power to an
appropriate multi-consumer unit.

4.4.5 DiSEqC (Digital Satellite Equipment Control)

In the DiSEqC menu the control signals must be set in accordance with the requirements of your
satellite equipment.

22 kHz switches between high and low band
{Pos. A/B}
22 kHz switches between 2 satellites

Tone burst

activates the tone burst depending on the reception frequency
