Before first Use
Clean all parts of the pressure cooker before using the first time as described
below under "Cleaning". Dry all parts well before using the pressure cooker.
Pressure Cooker Safety Features
The pressure cooker has safety features that secure the pressure cooker against
excessive pressure.
Pressure Regulator (3): In normal operating process excessive steam emits
through the pressure regulator opening. When setting the pressure regulator to
the position 0, the regulator will let off steam from the pressure cooker. At lowest
setting, there is pressure of 60 kPa at highest setting there is pressure of 90 kPa
inside the pot.
Overpressure Valve (2): During pressure rise the safety valve goes up. If
excessive pressure is in the pot, steam will emit from the overpressure valve, too.
Decompression Window (5): If excessive steam cannot emit through the pressure
regulator and the overpressure valve, the sealing ring will bent outwards through
the decompression window. That way, excessive steam can emit.
Using
1.
Place the sealing ring (6) into the lid. To close
and open the lid more easily, oil the sealing ring
before using the first time with less edible oil.
2.
According to the recipe, gently roast the meat in
the pressure cooker and add water or broth and
further ingredients. Or you can place the ingre-
dients in the pressure cooker and add water or
broth. Add as much water as needed for the
recipe. The minimum amount is 1 cup (approx.
200 ml). Never use the pressure cooker without
liquid!
3.
Place the lid handle (1) right from the large pot
handle (7). The markings (A) have to point to
each other.
