e) Correct posture during measurement

The measurement values depend on your physical posture.
• You should only measure your blood pressure when you are
sitting down.
Always make sure that you are sitting in a comfortable, relaxed
position.
• Place your elbow on a table or other object.
If necessary, use a suitable base to position your arm in such
a way that the pressure cuff is at the same level as your heart.
Your blood pressure will vary depending on the level of the cuff
in relation to your heart.
You must stay in this position until the measurement is
completely finished.
• Slightly open your hand and relax.
