cooled down to room temper-
ature or cover the jars with a towel to allow them to cool down
slowly.

Steaming

Steaming is a gentle way of preparation for vegetable and potatoes.
This way vitamins and trace elements are preserved much better than
with conventional boiling.
The steam displaces the oxygen which breaks down valuable vitamins
during boiling.

Put approximately one litre of water into the multipurpose pot and
insert the fruit container with the food to be steamed into the pot.

Stop up the opening in the lid with the included stopper.
3.
Put the lid on the pot and secure it with the clasps.
4.
Apply full heat until some steam exits from the soft pressure valve.
Now you can turn down the heat supply.

Cooking

You can use the multipurpose pot for briefly precooking (blanching)
food, especially vegetables, before deep freezing. This neutralises the
enzymes and preserves colour, aroma and taste.
For using the multipurpose pot as cooking pot an ordinary stainless lid
Ø 28 cm you can ordered from Westfalia under the article number
16 49 21. A glass lid witch Ø 28 cm is available under the article
number 64 89 80.

Preparing Mullet Wine

Put the wine (up to 15 l) and the other ingredients into the pot and
put the lid on.
