INSERTING THE BATTERIES

- Remove the battery covers on the left and right side by turning them counterclockwise. Insert one AAA battery into each battery compartment.
- Insert the negative (–) side first. Please check the markings on the product to ensure the correct battery orientation.
- When using the rechargeable batteries supplied by Ansmann AG, please read the manual and safety instructions provided with the batteries before use.

FIRST USE

A. Attach the neck strap to the strap loops on both sides.
B. For use while wearing glasses, do not twist up the eyecups.
For use without wearing glasses, twist up the eyecups by turning them counterclockwise.
C. Look through the binoculars and adjust the interpupillary distance by simultaneously folding the eyepieces towards or away from each other,
until you see one nice and round image.

D. Adjust the diopter setting. To achieve optimal image quality, the possibly varying visual acuity between
the left and right eye must be corrected.
// Use without glasses and equal acuity of both eyes, or with glasses:
Place the diopter ring in middle neutral position (alignment of indications in diopter wheel and rubber).
// Use without glasses and varying acuity:
Look through the left eyepiece with your left eye and turn the focus wheel to focus sharply on a selected object. Now look at that same object
through the right ocular with your right eye and again create a sharp image of this object by turning the diopter ring only. Now the dioptric
correction has been set for your particular visual acuity.

Never attempt to adjust one eyepiece at a time, as this will damage the system.
