HOT AIR CURLING IRON / CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
before removing it from the device. Risk of
burns!
• Before switching off the blow-drier, you should
blow-dry the hair with cold air (2). The cold air
helps seal in the natural scale structure of the hair
and keeps the hairstyle in place for longer, since no
moisture remains within the hair.
• To switch off the device, slide the switch (1) for fan
speed back to the 0 setting. The device will then go
off.
• If used for a long time (e.g. for very long and thick
hair) the device may overheat and then automatical-
ly cut out. In this case, switch the fan speed setting
to 0 and unplug the device from the mains. Allow
the device to cool for approx. 30 minutes before
attempting to re-use.
HOT AIR CURLING IRON:
• Remove the cable safety device and completely
unwind the cable.
• Check that the switch (3) used to regulate the fan
speed is set to 0 and subsequently connect the
device to the mains.
• Depending on preference, the device may be used
at fan speed 1 (low) or 2 (high).
• Separate a strand of hair and wrap this around the
brush head, starting with the ends. Leave the brush
head in contact with the wound hair strand for a
while and then carefully unwind the hair.
Note:
Press the knob for releasing the brush head (2) and
keep it pressed down. The brush head is now free to
turn and the hair can be more easily wound, than when
the entire curling tongs have to be rotated.
Now take the brush head away from the hair opposite
to the winding direction. As soon as the knob is re-
leased again, the brush head locks back into place and
no longer moves freely.
• Repeat this step until the hair is dry and/or styled
according to preference.
• To switch off the device, slide the switch (3) regula-
ting the fan speed back to setting 0. The device now
goes off.
• If used for a long time (e.g. for very long and thick
hair) the device may overheat and then automatical-
ly cut out. In this case, switch the fan speed setting
to 0 and unplug the device from the mains. Allow
the device to cool for approx. 30 minutes before
attempting to re-use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Note:
Always unplug from the mains before cleaning
and allow the device to cool down thoroughly.
• The devices, power cords and mains plugs must not
be soaked in water or other liquids during cleaning.
Clean these parts using a dry cloth.
• When very dirty, the outside of the devices can be
wiped off carefully with a damp cloth and subse-
quently carefully dried. Be careful when doing so, to
ensure no water infiltrates into the devices.
• Do not use any harsh cleaning agent, wire brushes,
abrasives or other hard objects to clean which could
scratch the surfaces.
• Never use solvents, petrol or oil-based cleaners,
since these could damage the housing.
• The hair dryer comes with a lint trap. This filter can
be removed from the dryer by turning it, for clea-
ning purposes. Regularly clean the lint trap to avoid
any overheating of the blow-drier!
