Basic safety precautions must be observed when using electrical devices. To avoid the danger
of burns, electric shocks, fires and/or personal injury, please carefully read through this instruc-
tion manual before using the device for the first time and observe all instructions when using the
device.
Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference.
When this device is passed on to another person, please also supply this instruction manual with
the device.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Only connect the devices to a plug that has been
installed in accordance with regulations. Do not use
any desk socket or extension cable.
• The voltage specified on the nameplate of the de-
vices must correspond to that of your mains supply.
• Be careful when operating the devices that there is
no risk of the power cord causing a trip hazard.
• Keep the devices, power cords and mains plugs
well away from hot surfaces, naked flames, direct
sunlight as well as sharp edges. Be careful to ensure
that the cords do not get jammed during operation
(e.g. in doors).
• Never immerse the devices, power cords and mains
plugs in water or other liquids. There is a risk of
fatal electric shock!
• Never touch the devices, power cords and mains
plugs with moist or wet hands or when you are
standing on moist ground.
• If the devices are evidently damp or wet, unplug
both from the mains immediately.
• Keep the devices, power cords and mains plugs
away from water and moisture, e.g. like washbasins,
shower rooms, bathtubs or people bathing. There is
a risk of fatal electric shock!
• For additional protection, we recommend that a resi-
dual current operated protective device (RCD) with
a nominal tripping current of no more than 30 mA
be installed in the bathroom electric circuit. Please
request the services of a qualified electrician.
• If the devices are used in damp locations, always
unplug them from the mains after each use.
• When you unplug the devices, always pull the plug,
not the power cord. Never carry the devices by the
power cord.
