04. OPERATION

NOTE: Before using the appliance for the first time, switch it on for a few
minutes and allow it to run at the highest speed and temperature set-
ting. As a result of the manufacturing process, a slight odour may be
produced. This is not harmful and only occurs during initial use. Ensure
that the room has good ventilation.
Switching the appliance on/off and controlling the air flow
1. Insert the mains plug into an easily accessible socket.
2. The on/off switch and switch for the power settings 5 allow you to
switch the appliance on and to select the desired power setting:
0 – off
1 – slow air flow
2 – fast air flow
3. After drying, set the on/off switch to 0 (off) and pull out the mains
plug.
Ionic technology
This appliance is equipped with an optional ionisation function, perma-
nently releasing ions onto the hair to reduce the static charge of the
hair and allow easier styling.
Use the on/off switch for ionisation function 3 on the back of the
handle to activate this function. Slide the switch up to position ON.
Deactivate the function if you would like to dry your hair without ionisa-
tion. In order to do so, slide the switch down to position OFF.

Selecting the temperature

The switch for the hot air settings 7 allows you to select the desired
temperature for the air flow:
I = low temperature
II = medium temperature
III = high temperature
Recommendation: For particularly gentle drying and long-lasting styles,
dry your hair slowly at the lowest setting (approx. room temperature).
