Safety instructions
CAUTION: Failure to observe these safety instructions may result in personal injury or property damage.
Read the following safety information carefully before using the loudspeaker. Only use the device as
described in this manual.
General safety instructions
• The loudspeaker is intended for private, non-commercial household use.
• Do not use the loudspeaker in areas where electronic devices are not permitted.
• Do not attempt to repair the loudspeaker. Do not continue to use it if it is damaged.
• Do not store the speaker in close proximity to heaters, other heat sources or in direct sunlight (e.g. in a
car).
• Keep the speaker and its accessories safely out of reach of children and pets.
• Using this product limits your perception of ambient noise. Therefore, do not drive vehicles, operate sports
equipment or use machinery while using this product.
• The battery is permanently installed and cannot be removed. Dispose of the speaker as a whole in
accordance with legal regulations. Repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
• Do not use the device in potentially explosive environments.
• This device is protected against temporary immersion in water (up to 1 m depth for max. 30 minutes) in
accordance with IPX7.
• The device is not suitable for permanent use underwater.
• Do not use the speaker while it is charging!
Warning – High volume
• High sound pressure! There is a risk of hearing damage.
• Always set the terminal device used with the loudspeaker to half
playback volume before switching on the loudspeaker.
• Set the volume to a low level before connecting the loudspeaker to a playback device!
• Only increase the volume gradually to a comfortable level.
• Always keep the volume at a reasonable level. High volumes can cause hearing damage,
even for short periods.
• Pay particular attention to the volume setting when children are present!
Warning – Magnets
• This product contains magnets that may cause electromagnetic interference. Persons with pacemakers
should consult a physician before using this product to determine whether it may interfere with the
functioning of the pacemaker.
• Do not store EC cards or similar cards with magnetic strips near the speaker.
Safety instructions for lithium batteries
• This device contains a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Improper handling can result in fire, explosion or
injury.
• Only use suitable chargers or USB ports for charging.
• Do not use defective chargers or USB ports and do not attempt to repair or disassemble them.
• Only charge the device under supervision and on non-flammable surfaces.
• The input voltage for the product is 5V. To charge the product safely and reliably, please only use certified,
suitable chargers/adapters from the manufacturer.
• Only charge the product at ambient temperatures between 10 °C/50 °F and 40 °C/104 °F.
• Switch off the product immediately after use to conserve battery power.
• Please note that we accept no responsibility for incorrect operation (e.g. charging voltage higher than 5V).
• In extreme cases, misuse of the lithium battery can lead to explosions, heat build-up, fire or smoke.
• Dispose of the device in accordance with local regulations for electronics and batteries – never dispose of
it in household waste.
