IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Some basic safety instructions must be observed when handling electronic devices.
To avoid the hazard of burns, electric shock, fires and/or personal injuries, please
read this user manual prior to using your device and observe these instructions when
handling your device. Instruct other users of possible hazards.

When passing this unit on to third parties, please also hand over this user manual.
• Connect your unit only to a power outlet that was installed according to regulations. Do not use a
table socket outlet or an extension cord.
• The voltage listed on the type plate must correspond to the voltage of your power network.
• When installing the power cord, please be sure that it does not pose a tripping-hazard.
• Keep the power cord and plug away from hot surfaces, open flames and sharp edges.
• Do not touch the device, the power cord or power plug with wet or damp hands.
• Do not submerge the device, the power cord or power plug in water or other fluids. Danger to life
by electric shock!
• When pulling the power plug, always pull on the plug, never on the cable.
• Do not use the device outdoors.
• Use this device only on heat-resistant surfaces. The device must be placed on a sturdy, level surface
to avoid tipping the unit over.
• During operation, please ensure a sufficient ventilation and safety distance. Do not place the
device near flammable material, e.g. drapes, wallpaper, clothing, tablecloths.
• Attention! Do not operate the device without the grill rack. Danger of burns caused by the heating
coil.
• Do not leave the device unattended while it is in use.
• Use only the enclosed accessories.
• Do not place empty Raclette-pans into or on top of the unit while it is in use. Do not operate the
unit without contents unless you are pre-heating it.
• The device and all accessories will be very hot during operation. Avoid contact with hot parts.
Touch accessories only on the handle. Danger of burns!
• Attention! Never use water to extinguish burning grease! Switch the unit off, pull the power plug
and smother the flames with a wet cloth.
• Switch the device off and pull the power plug out of the power outlet if this device is not in use.
Allow the device to cool off completely prior to handling, e.g. storing.
• Always disconnect the power plug from the power outlet and allow the device to cool off
completely prior to cleaning.
• Do not use this device if it is damaged, if it fell or otherwise malfunctions.
