Conrad access point N150
Item no. 97 61 65
Intended Use
The product is intended to expand an existing network with a WLAN-access point. For this pur-

networks. One with WPA2 encryption and a second one, specifi cally for game consoles, with
WEP encryption. For security reasons, this second WLAN-net can be switched off with a slide
switch and is deactivated at delivery.
The power is supplied from the power adapter included in the delivery.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating

Connection and Getting Started
• First you connect the LAN socket of the access point (AP) using a 1:1 network connection
cable with the LAN socket of your router or network switch.
• Next, connect the wall plug transformer to the device and connect it to the wall socket.
• Wait until the access point has completed the self-test. This takes approx. 60 seconds.
• Switch on your PC and wait until the operating system has fi nished loading. In order to estab-
lish a connection with the access point, your PC naturally needs to have a WLAN interface.
Setting up a WLAN connection to the AP with WPS
• The simplest method of establishing a connection with the access point is by using the WPS
function. Your PC must support WPS for this.
• First press the WPS button at the back of the access point for approx. 2 seconds until the
WPS-LED starts fl ashing. The device is now in search mode.
• Next press the WPS button on your PC, also for about 2 to 4 seconds. Please refer to the
manual of your PC or that of your WLAN Card or your WLAN stick.
• The connection is now automatically established. Entering a password is not necessary, as
this is automatically transferred.
• The confi guration is thus complete.
Setting up a WLAN connection to the AP without WPS
• If your PC does not support WPS, you need to use the manual search of your operating
system.
• On delivery, the access point has an activated WLAN network. This is something like "ap-
pc-xxxxxx". This name is different for every access point and is printed on the bottom of the
device. Every "x" represents a number or letter.
• The accompanying password is also printed on the bottom of the access point and is also
different with every device.
• Now open the network search mode of your operating system.
• For Windows 7 Service Pack 1, click on the WLAN symbol in the taskbar and then select the
WLAN „ap-pc-xxxxxx".
In case the network is not shown yet, update the view by clicking on the symbol in the upper
right corner of the window.
Then click on "Connect".
When you are prompted, enter the security key which is printed on the bottom of the device.
Then click "OK" to confi rm.
• For Windows Vista Service Pack 2, right-click the network symbol in the taskbar and then
click "Connect to a network".
Select the WLAN "ap-pc-xxxxxx" and click "Connect".
In case the desired network is not shown, click on the symbol with two arrows in the top-right
to update the view.
If in the next screen you are prompted for a PIN, click the blue, underlined text beneath it.
Now the network key is required. Enter the key which is printed on the bottom of the device
in the specifi ed fi eld.
Click "Connect" to complete.
• For Windows XP Service Pack 3, right-click the WLAN symbol in the taskbar and then click
"View wireless networks".
Select the WLAN "ap-pc-xxxxxx" and click "Connect".
In case the desired network is not shown, click on "Update Network List".
Now the network key is required. Enter the key which is printed on the bottom of the device
in the specifi ed fi eld twice in the specifi ed fi elds.
Click "Connect" again to complete.
