8. Installation instructions

The PlasmaMade Carbon Airfilter may be used on almost all existing and new-
installation extractor hood units. The extractor hood must fulfil the following points:
• Extractor hood must be suitable for recirculation (the duct must feature
openings through which the filtered air can be returned back into the room). We
do not recommend these openings to be directed at the wall or ceiling. Provide a
gap of at least 500 mm in between.
• Set the electronic control of the hood to recirculation mode, if the control is not
available here than using the hood at position 1 or 2. If the engine capacity is
higher than 600 m3.
• Top of motor housing to top of duct must be at least 400 (or 300) mm. This
depends on the type of PlasmaMade Carbon Airfilter used. See the picture
below.
