1. Safety information

Please read the instructions carefully before using the device. To avoid incorrect handling,
follow all instructions and use the device only as described in the manual. Please keep this
manual in a safe place for future reference and pass it on to everyone who would be using the
device.

1.1. Intended Use

The EBERTH PT1-R2000 is only permitted for the following activities. All safety-, operating- and
maintenance instructions described in this manual must be observed.
The EBERTH drain cleaning machine is designed exclusively for cleaning and freeing up clogged or

contaminated drains.
Any use beyond this is not intended.

1.2. Risks

Even in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and the intended use specified by the
manufacturer, risks might arise during use.
If all safety instructions, the intended use and the operating instructions are observed, risks can be
minimized.

1.3. General safety instructions

Compliance with all safety instructions, observance of all instructions in the operating manual and
compliance with the operating, maintenance and repair measures prescribed by the manufacturer
must be taken into account. In addition, all relevant accident prevention regulations as well as the
safety regulations valid in the country concerned must be complied with.
Be sure to read the operating instructions thoroughly before using the appliance.

Use the device for its intended use only. (See 1.1.)

Children and young people under the age of 16 are not allowed to use this device. Keep children away

from the appliance.
Use the device only with complete and properly installed protective devices.
•
Do not use the unit in case of malfunction or signs of a defect.
•
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
•
Do not place objects on the unit.
•
Do not spray or spill liquids.

1.3.1. Workplace

Within the working area, the person operating the product is responsible for third parties.
•
Provide sufficient space and good light conditions in the workplace.
•
Never operate in potentially explosive surroundings.
•
Always keep your workplace clean and tidy.
•
Operate the unit on a safe and leveled surface. It has to be set up stable, without torsion and tilt.
•
Avoid changing the position during operation.
