5-2. Scale Mounting
1 Check there is no dust, etc. on the mounting surface, and
mount the reference plate parallel to the machine guide,
as shown in the figure.
(Fastening torque : 1.4 N
The reference hole is located on the left, as shown in the
figure. Adjust at the right side while observing the flatness
with the lever type dial gauge.
Note
The scale is pressed against the reference plate for
parallelism when mounting. The reference plate is vital to
accurate scale mounting. Be sure to mount it exactly as
described in the specifications.
