ENGLISH - Translation of original instructions
THIS BOOKLET CONSTITUTES AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE
GUN AND MUST BE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE USING IT.
STRICTLY COMPLY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED
THEREIN FOR USE A SAFE AND EFFECTIVE USE OF THE GUN.
FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY CAUSE, IN ADDITION TO WARRANTY
INVALIDATION,
FAULTS
SITUATIONS.
• The high pressure trigger gun with accessories model P560 is a
manually operated device that allows the liquid to pass through the
lance and the nozzle only if the trigger is kept open in the operating
position. It is exclusively intended for washing with clean and
fresh water objects, things and in any case surfaces suitable to be
treated with the mechanical action of the pressurized water jet and
if necessary with the chemical action of liquid detergent additives
dissolved in water.
COMMISSIONING
• Considering that the trigger gun is used in conjunction with a high
pressure machine/system, its installation and use must be appropriate
to the type of machine/system used and consistent with the safety
regulations in force in the country of use.
• Before using the gun, make sure that the machine/system to which
the gun is incorporated has been declared compliant with the relevant
Directives and/or Regulations.
• To use the gun it is necessary to complete it with a terminal accessory
(nozzle "A") connected to the end fitting of the lance and to a high
pressure flexible pipe "B" connected to the gun handle. To ensure
tightness, interpose a metal washer with a rubber ring where possible,
or insert an appropriate sealing material on the thread.
ATTENTION: use only fittings, accessories and components
suitable for materials and mechanical resistance to the pressure
of use.
ATTENTION: During use under no circumstances exceed the
maximum pressure, flow rate and temperature values indicated
in the booklet and shown on the gun.
• It is therefore necessary to correctly choose the type of nozzle to be
used on the spray lance (depending on the flow rate) and the pressure
regulating device on the gun supply line.
• It should be noted that the pressure increases by increasing the flow
rate and maintaining the nozzle diameter constant or by keeping the
flow rate constant and decreasing the nozzle diameter.
• Before use, check that the gun, lance and nozzle connections are
properly tightened.
• In case of doubt, do not hesitate to contact the manufacturer.
• To work in safe conditions, a discharge valve must be provided on
the high-pressure line which supplies the gun, so that it can bypass
the water flow rate when the outlet flow is blocked because the gun
is closed.
6
AND
CREATE
DANGEROUS
• The pump/system that feeds the gun must be checked periodically in
order to guarantee the impossibility to exceed the intended conditions
of use (pressure, temperature, flow rate...)
• The gun is equipped with a safety/locking device positioned on the
trigger that prevents its involuntary opening. Always make sure to
insert it correctly before storing it.
• During use it is absolutely forbidden to lock, with any system, the gun
trigger in the operating position.
• It is recommended to install filters upstream of the equipment to
avoid malfunctions caused by solid parts inside the water.
SAFETY RULES
• It is forbidden for children to use the gun and it is allowed only to
qualified personnel who know the characteristics and methods of use.
• Before using it, check that there are no people in the range of action
of the gun that could be damaged by direct jet and/or by projected
debris. Do not direct the jet towards yourself or other persons and/
or animals, even if at a safe distance and even if the nozzle is not
under pressure.
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, goggles and non-slip
shoes.
• It is necessary to check the sound level emitted by the
equipment and the vibrations to which the operator is
subjected (depending on the type of work and the type
of installation) and establish, according to the regulations
in force, the maximum exposure times and/or the
precautions for use, if any.
ATTENTION: when the gun trigger is activated, the outcome of
pressurized liquid causes a sudden counter reaction force. This
force is determined by the joint effect of flow rate and pressure.
For the operator's safety, under no circumstances it must exceed
150N if the lance is not equipped with a backrest and 250N if the
lance is equipped with a backrest (See lance reaction table)
• Pressurization, up to the conditions of normal use, must take place
with the gun open and facing downwards.
• Use only fresh and filtered water. The use of salt water and/or
containing solid particles larger than 360μm could cause rapid wear
of the gun internal parts causing incorrect operation and/or hazardous
situations.
• Never tamper with the gun. Otherwise the manufacturer declines
all responsibility for the gun correct operation and safety.
WARNINGS TO AVOID THAT THE RISK OF EXPLOSION
BECOMES EFFECTIVE
• For safe use of the gun/lance the ambient temperature must be
between -20 and + 40°C.
• In order to ensure proper grounding of the gun to avoid surface
electrostatic charges, it is necessary to use only high-pressure flexible
pipes with antistatic external surface characteristics (resistance R <
10
Ohm according to EN 8031:2009) connected to pumps suitably
9
connected to earth electrically.
• The gun can only be used in ATEX 1-21-2-22 zones that comply with
the type of protection indicated on the cover and on the gun body.
• Do not use FLAMMABLE/COMBURENT/COMBUSTIBLE fluids or
that contain solvents or pure acids! These include for example petrol,
paint thinner or diesel. The mist that can be formed can be highly
