to 75 – 80% of its charge. The charger delivers maximum current until the
terminal voltage has risen to the full charge level for a normal battery.
 Absorption (orange LED 5): Completes the charge up to virtually 100% at
a constant voltage. The current tapers off after the current has reached the
minimum level.
 Recondition (orange LED 6): select recondition mode, the battery is
charged by higher voltage to recondition the sulphate of the battery to save
battery life.
 Analysis (orange LED 7): Test whether the battery is able to keep the
battery power or not. Batteries that cannot hold the charge may need to be
replaced.
 Floating Charge (green LED 8): Maintenance charging at a constant
voltage and a minimal charge current, keeping the battery at 100% charge.
 Pulse (green LED 9): Conduct a compensating charging for the battery to
keep its capacity at 95 – 100%. The charger detects the battery voltage
and gives out charging pulses when necessary in order to ensure a full
charging.

Supply Mode

Use the mode selection button (9) to select the supply mode. The LED (14)
lights up.
The supply mode provides a constant voltage of 13.8 V and current up to 5 A.
This mode also can be used for maintenance charging of an already fully
charged battery, called float maintenance. This type of charging keeps the
battery at 100% charge. The constant small overcharge can also increase
water loss. It is not appropriate to charge a completely discharged battery in
this mode.
The supply mode can also be used as a power generation unit for operating
equipment that requires 13.8 V and a max. current of 5 A (for example to
provide power to computer system of modern car when replacing the battery).
