Introduction

If you have a hard time getting your car started in winter because you drive
mainly short distances, it may be advisable to recharge your battery in regular
intervals.
With this battery charger you can charge lead-acid batteries with a nominal
voltage of 12 V DC and a nominal capacity between 10 Ah and 120 Ah. The
charging current is either 2 A or 8 A. The current charging state can be read
from the charging state indicator. The charger is equipped with a build in
voltage converter and can be used as a 13.8 V (max. 5 A) power source.

Automatic and intelligent 9-Stage Charging Curve

This battery charger is controlled by a microprocessor with a 9-stage
characteristic for charging batteries of automobiles, motorcycles, snow
mobiles, tractors, boats, etc.
The microprocessor senses the condition of the battery and controls the
regulator to provide the right current and voltage to the battery. This will give
the best effect on charging and provide the longest life to the battery.
Charging Cycles/Charging Curve
 Battery Test (orange LED 1): Connect the charger to the power mains.
Use the mode selection button (9) to select the charging mode depending
on the battery to be charged. Connect the battery connection clamps (5)
and (6) to the battery to be charged. The charger will automatically detect
the battery performance. In normal status, after five seconds the battery will
enter stage 2. 12 V batteries lower than 5 V are invalid and beyond
handling.
 Desulphation (orange LED 2): Detects sulphated battery. Removes
sulphate on the battery electrode with pulse current and voltage to restore
battery capacity.
 Soft Start (orange LED 3): Initial battery test to determine the battery
condition. If the battery is severely discharged, the charger will begin the
soft start stage. Charging starts with reduced current until the battery
voltage reaches a normal condition for charge.
 Bulk Charging (orange LED 4): Major charging stage where the battery
receives the majority of its charge. During this stage the battery is brought
