1. General

The detector is suitable for the monitoring of break-through of glass panes in windows or doors.
It can be used with glass types which passive glass breakage sonsors are not able to monitor.
For example structure glass, laminated glass, bulletproof glass and glass with wire ore plastics
inlay. The detector can be used on the condition that the medium is closed and the adhesive
surface has a maximum unevenness of 1 mm. (Note VdS point in Chapter 3.1)
The detector is not allowed for monitoring walls made of concrete, brick, wood etc., according to
VdS.
The vibration detector has an alarm indicator which, in case of an alarm, can localize exactly
which detector is in a state of alarm. The indication is stored until it is cleared.
The special features of this detector are settable sensitivity and high interference immunity.
Max. 20 detectors can be connected per detector group via differential detector groups in
Z-wiring.

2. Function

The vibration detector reacts to near-vicinity vibration caused by intrusion attempts at the
monitored object. Mass movement due to mechanical force is recorded by a Piezo element and
converted into electrical variables that can be evaluated.
A triggered alarm is indicated via a LED and stored until it is cleared.
The detector is cleared by briefly switching off the detector group voltage.
The response sensitivity of the detector can be set accordingly.
The vibration detector has a tamper contact that triggers a tamper alarm when the detector is
opened.

3. Mounting

3.1 Guidelines
The detector that monitors on average a radius of
1.5 m, should be installed in the anticipated attack
zone. During installation ensure that the detector
does not hang below the cable (suspended
mounting), otherwise the cable must be routed
from below via a loop into the detector.
When gluing the detector to the surface, ensure
that it lies flat and that the glue between the
detector and glass, is applied in a thin layer over
the entire area without bubbles. Secure the
detector with a suctioning device or adhesive tape
until the glue has hardened.
When installing glass panes, we recommend
allowing a distance of 5 cm from the frame. When
used with moving elements, glue the detector so
that the connecting cable points to the pivot point.
