3 USB Installation
The interface is installed in two parts.
Part 1: Installation of the USB driver
– Connect the DMX interface to a free USB port of your PC. A message is
displayed that new hardware
has been found.
– Follow the hardware assistant and select Choose other directories as a
source for the driver and then select the location of the driver
(e.g. D: in case of the supplied CD)
– Confirm the driver found with Continue and terminate the driver installation
with Finish.
Part 2: Installation of the virtual COM port
– After installation of the USB driver a USB serial port is automatically
recognized. Again a message is displayed that new hardware has been
found.
– Follow the hardware assistant and select as a source for the driver
– Choose other directories as a source for the driver and then select the
location of the driver (e.g. D: in case of the supplied CD)
Confirm the driver found with Continue and terminate the driver installation
–
with Finish.
For the USB installation please use the drivers on the supplied data carrier. You can
download the latest version of the drivers in the Internet (WWW.MONACOR.DE).
The installation may differ depending on the operating system used and the
driver version.
