CLEANING
Note: Always unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down before
starting any cleaning and maintenancework. Caution: Never immerse
base unit in water or any other liquid
Thisappliance should be cleaned after every Use.
• Unplug the rice cooker when not in use or before cleaning.
• Do not useabrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or steelwool to clean
the rice cooker.
• To clean the base unit, lightly wipe the exterior with a damp cloth or
sponge. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
• Clean the inner pot by detaching it from the rice cooker. Fill the pot
with hot water from the tap. Letit sit for a while and thenwash with hot,
soapy water. Rinsethoroughly and dry.
• The measuringcup and paddle can be washed in warm, soapy
water. They are not dishwashersafe.
• Wipe the inside of the lid with a clean, damp cloth or sponge.
• Make surethat grains of rice do not stick to the Heating Elementin
the bottom of the base unit. If this occurs, removeimmediately.If grains
of rice are cooking onto the heating plate, a non-abrasivepad can be
used to removeit. Polishthe area for good contact between the Heating
Plateand the bottomof the inner pot.
• Do not usebleach, vinegar, or other harshchemicalsto clean the rice
cooker.
