• All persons operating, installing, setting up, commissioning or servicing this device must be
trained and qualified correspondingly and observe these operating instructions.
• Never touch the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• The device is constructed according to protection class I. Only use a standard mains socket
(220-230 V/50/60 Hz) connected to the public power supply grid with an earthed contact as
the voltage source.
• The device must be set up correctly. Therefore, please follow the operating instructions care-
fully.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices that you intend to
connect to the monitor speaker.
• Make sure the mains cable is not pinched, bent, damaged by sharp edges or otherwise sub-
jected to mechanical strain. Avoid excess thermal stress on the mains cable due to excessive
heat or cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Failure to adhere to these instructions may
lead to damage of the mains cable. A damaged mains cable can result in a life-threatening
electric shock.
• If the cables show damages, do not touch them. First, switch off the appropriate mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit-breaker and the RCD) and then carefully pull the mains plug
from the mains socket. Separate the mains cable from the device. Never use the product if
the mains cable is damaged.

vases) in the vicinity. You run the high risk of causing a fire or a fatal electric shock. If this is
the case, de-energise the appropriate mains socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker and RCD)
and then remove the mains plug from the mains socket. Disconnect all cables from the device.
Do not use the product afterwards. Take it to a specialized workshop.
• The device is not a toy and is not suitable for children. Children are not aware of the potential
dangers involved when using electrical devices.
• Do not store any magnetic storage media such as floppy disks, video tapes, etc. in close prox-

stored on the storage media.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for long periods of time. This may damage your hearing.
• Do not expose the monitor speaker to high temperatures, dripping water or water spray, strong
vibrations or high humidity.
• Only use the product in a moderate climate, never in tropical climates.
