3 - PRELIMINARY CHECKS

Ensure that the surface on which the product is installed is not flammable:
it is recommended to install it on aluminum or painted steel sheet. Make
sure that, once installed, the spotlight is not covered by thermally insulating
or flammable material.
Verify that the metal plate hosting the spotlight has a thickness (s)
between 1 and 20 mm. Ensure that the recess where the spotlight will be
installed has a depth (D) of at least 46 mm, and that the area around the
spotlight, in the direction of the spring opening (W), is clear for at least 65
mm to allow for proper spring fastening (fig. 4a).
Prepare a round hole on the installation metal surface, with a diameter of
29 mm (fig. 4b). Ensure that the edges of the hole are burr-free to avoid
damaging the spotlight or associated wiring.
Make sure that the power supply wiring has an appropriate cross-section
for the current passing through it, and in any case, is not less than 0.4
mm² (AWG 21).
