INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT

By sliding off the lid, open the unit.

Connect the included mains-adapter to the pins 6 and 7 of the orange multi connector (C), the
polarity is not important. Make sure that there is a wire jumper between the pins 1 and 2,
unless you would like to connect the optional remote control.

Make sure that the audio-units that you want to attach to the ALC-01 are switched off.
Connect the outputs of the mixing table or pre-amplifier to the inputs (A) of the ALC-01.
Connect the outputs (B) of the ALC-01 to the inputs of the power-amplifier.
The connections are standard made with JACK connectors. If you want to use RCA (cinch)
connectors, use the included RCA-JACK adapters. If you want to use XLR connectors,
adapters are available on the market or make these connectors as follows:
Connect the following pins:

Turn the potentiometer on the back completely counter-
clockwise and put the mains-adapter in the mains socket.
The power-LED (1) on the frontpanel will light up now.
Also switch the other audio apparatuses on.

After that, turn the max-output potentiometers (E) open on
1/4, and the max-input potentiometers (D) completely
open. Also turn the volume potentiometers of the power
amplifier completely open. Start the music source, it is
preferable to use loud, busy music. Now turn the output
volume up, just till below distortion.

Next, turn the max-input level potentiometer (D) back till the green LED's (2) just turn over to
red (3). In that action is the maximum input level set.

Last but not least, set the desirable (regulated) maximum output level with the max-output
potentiometers (E).
NOISE GATE
This function avoids noise and hum, if there is no signal present. This is adjustable as follows. Put the
music off and wait about one minute, then slowly turn the gate potentiometer (F) open till the green
LED's (2) on the frontpanel fade out.
REMOTE CONTROL OPTION
With the optional remote control, the music level can be arranged from any desirable place
SEALING
If all functions work properly, the case of the ALC-01 can be closed. This can be done by putting all
the connected cables through the slot in the side of the lid. And by sliding back the lid over the case.
The sealing can be done by putting the seals through the two small slots at the back of the set and by
fastening them. At the side where the cables come out, they must also be put through the seal.
