Snap Shot(VP-M53/M54 only)
With the SNAP SHOT feature, your camcorder can function like a
normal film camera, allowing you to take single still pictures.
- The SNAP SHOT function operates in the CAMERA mode.
1. Set power switch to CAMERA mode and
LOCK/STANDBY
switch to STANDBY mode.
2. Press SNAP SHOT button in the direction of
standstill that you want to shoot.
At this time, be careful not to shake your
camcorder because the image will be indis-
tinctly recorded.
3. After the SNAP SHOT button has been pressed, your camcorder
will automatically return to STANDBYmode after shooting the still
image for 6 seconds.
You can check the remaining time for
SNAP SHOT shooting by looking at the
time displayed on the screen.
To stop SNAP SHOTshooting,
press SNAP SHOT button again.
Notes:
While the SNAP SHOT is activated, you can not activate other
functions by pressing other buttons.
If your camcorder is shaken or impacted during shooting, the
recording state may not be in good condition.
The SNAP SHOT is activated in recording.
When the SNAP SHOT button is pressed in CAMERAmode
without any tape, the standstill screen will be displayed.

Schnappschuß (nur bei VP-M53/M54)
Mit der Schnappschuß-Funktion können Sie ähnlich wie mit einer
normalen Fotokamera ein Einzelbild aufnehmen. Das Einzelbild wird
vom Camcorder erfaßt und sechs Sekunden lang

3. Nach Drücken der Taste SNAP SHOT wird das Bild erfaßt. Das
Einzelbild wird für sechs Sekunden aufgezeichnet. Dann schaltet
der Camcorder automatisch zum Bereitschaftsmodus (STBY) um.
Hinweise:
Während einer Schnappschuß-Aufnahme können Sie keine
anderen Funktionen aktivieren.
Wenn der Camcorder während der Bilderfassung (unmittelbar
nach Drücken der Taste SNAP SHOT) bewegt oder angestoßen
wird, kann das Schnappschuß-Bild verwackelt sein.
Wenn
ohne daß eine Kassette eingelegt ist, wird ein Standbild
angezeigt.
- Die Schnappschuß-Funktion steht nur im
CAMERA-Modus (Aufnahme/Aufnahme-Bere-
itschaft) zur Verfügung.
1. Stellen Sie den Schalter für den Betrieb-
smodus auf CAMERAund den
LOCK/STANDBY-Schalter auf STANDBY.
2. Richten Sie den Camcorder auf das gewün-
schte Motiv für das Einzelbild, und drücken
Sie die Taste SNAP SHOT.
Achten Sie darauf, daß Sie den Cam-
corder nicht bewegen, wenn das Bild
erfaßt wird; andernfalls ist das Einzelbild
verwackelt.
Die verbleibende Aufzeichnungszeit für das
Einzelbild wird auf dem Monitor angezeigt.
Wenn Sie das Einzelbild für weniger als
sechs Sekunden aufzeichnen möchten,
drücken Sie nochmals die Taste SNAP
SHOT. Die Aufzeichnung wird dann beendet.
Sie die Taste SNAP SHOT im CAMERA-Modus drücken,
