Power-up and Self-test
After the supplied ribbon cable has been used to connect
the oscilloscope to the Graphic Printer, the oscilloscope
must be switched on first, then the Graphic Printer. In
order to obtain printouts of waveforms,
must be set to storage mode.
If a type HM208 storage oscilloscope is connected (using
the H077), then it must be set to " DUAL " mode. Otherwise
the printout obtained will not be identical with the image
displayed on the CRT screen.
Power up the Graphic Printer by pressing the red power
button. First the printer's designation (HDI 48) and the
software version (ROM: V....) appear in the display. Then
a self-test routine is automatically initiated. If a fault
should be detected, information about it will be displayed
in plain language.
The following error messages can occur:

If the self-test routine is completed without detecting any
faults, then the message
appears. Afterwards the unit is ready to operate,
automatically switches
recently used during the last work session.
If the Graphic Printer is being switched on for the very first
time, it defaults to its initial settings. The date and time of
day have already been set in the factory.
