5. Commissioning

Insert batteries before using for the first time. To
do this, unscrew the battery compartment (12) and
insert two AAA batteries. Ensure that they are cor-
rectly aligned. Close the battery compartment again
and screw the screw back in.
Switch on the digital spirit level by briefly pressing
the on/off switch (6).
To take measurements, place the digital spirit level
in a straight
line. If it is tilted forwards or backwards, the mea-
surement will be impossible and the device will dis-
play 'Erro' (for error).
Correct measurement
To switch off, press the on/off switch (6) for 2
seconds. The device switches off automatically after
approx. three minutes of non-use.
6. Functions
6.1 Electronic spirit level
6.1 Electronic spirit level The digital spirit level
shows you in various ways whether there is an incli-
nation.
The current alignment of the spirit level (5.7) shows
you in three states how the electronic spirit level is
aligned (upwards, straight or downwards).
The display for correct alignment (5.6) shows you in
which direction you need to tilt in order to reach the
zero point.

Press the button for setting the measuring ran-
ge (5.3) to switch between the measuring ranges
0°-90° and 0°-180°. The selected setting is shown
on the main display (5).

6.3 Zero setting
The device starts in the calibrated zero position.
If you would like to use a different inclination as
the zero position for a measurement, briefly press
the on/off switch (6) once when the device is swit-
ched on and hold the measuring device still for 3
seconds. An 'S' flashes at the top right of the main
display (5) and lights up permanently if the current
inclination is set as the zero position.
By briefly pressing the on/off switch (6) again or
switching off the device, the digital spirit level will
measure again after calibration.
6.4 Units
The inclination can be displayed in degrees (°), per
cent (%), millimetres per metre (mm/m) and inches
per foot (IN/FT). By pressing the
Mode button (11), you can change the measuring
unit if required.
6.5 Hold function
You can freeze the current measured value by pres-
sing the HOLD button (8). This is now displayed per-
manently. The 'H' symbol is shown at the top left of
the main display (5) Pressing the HOLD button (8)
again reactivates the measuring mode and the cur-
