Remove below the vehicle any mastic from contact points between the chassis and the towbar; then paint
mastic free pieces with rust inhibitor. The holes for the towbar fixing are partially available and two of them
have to be made.
1. Remove the rear bumper and the inner reinforcement bar;
2. Remove the spare wheel and the exhaust pipe bearing loosing the rubber caps;
3. Drill the car's body to Ø12 mm referring to the burins placed in position "3";
4. On the opposite side eliminate the plastic stoppers from the holes "3" and then widen them to Ø18 mm
(the side towards the engine only);
5. Place the cross bar "C" lined up with the rear body, referring to the holes "3" and "4" and insert the
screws;
6. On the opposite side insert the spacers "B" inside the holes "3" and insert the given cage-nuts referring
to the holes "1" and "2" of the chassis-rails;
7. Place the tie rods "A" (the short one and the long one) under the respective vehicle's chassis-rails
referring to the holes "1" and "2", and lined up to the rear side referring to the holes "3" and "4", then
fix with the screws;
8. Tighten all bolts and nuts as shown in the enclosed layout;
9. Connect the wiring to the socket, following the car booklet's instructions "use and maintenance" as
shown in the enclosed wiring kit layout;
10. Make a cut on the lower central side of the bumper, as shown in the enclosed "LAYUOT";
11. Reassemble the exhaust pipe bearing, the spare wheel, the reinforcement bar and the rear bumper.

• Make sure that the tow bar is suitable for the vehicle before starting the installation. Verify also that
the vehicle's towing disposal quoted on the car registration is mentioned on the tow bar document.
Otherwise ask for the appropriate office (umbrarimorchi@umbrarimorchi.it) for explanations or updated
documents.
• For safety, all work involving tow bar installation must be undertaken by skilled technicians.
• Damaged components must be replaced with manufacturer's spares parts by qualified staff.
• It is forbidden to make any modification or structural repair to the tow bar.
• The tow ball must be kept clean and lubricated. For added safety, his diameter (50 mm) must be
checked at regular intervals. If the tow ball measures less than 49 mm after selected readings across
the diameter, the tow ball must be replaced with a new one.
• After 1000 km of towing, check torque settings for nuts and bolts, in accordance with the table.
The tow bar installer must fix at the same level with the ball in a clear position, a plate with the ball's maximum
load for the vehicle on which the tow bar is fitted.
