to repair it yourself, as unqualified intervention may cause damage. Contact an authorised
service centre and use only identical spare parts.
12. DO NOT TOUCH ANY wires during operation, as high voltage could cause an electric shock.
Warning: To avoid or reduce the risk of electric shock or fire, do not expose this appliance to
rain or moisture. DO NOT OPEN the appliance within five minutes of switching it off. The casing,
lenses or ultraviolet filter must be replaced if they are visibly damaged.
III. MAINTENANCE
The volume of smoke produced may decrease over time. Your machine may become dirty. Before
using a specialist cleaning product, we advise you to follow the instructions below:
• If any smoke liquid remains in the tank, empty it completely. Fill the tank with mineral/distilled
water.
WARNING: Never use tap water, as this may cause irreversible damage to the pump and heating
element.
• Fill the tank with approximately 1 litre of demineralised water.
• Switch on the machine and let it warm up.
• When the machine is hot, set the flow rate to maximum and run continuously.
• You will notice that the machine initially produces smoke, which is the residue of the smoky
liquid in the tubes and heating element. After a few minutes, this smoke should turn into a
clear liquid - this is the demineralised water that is starting to come out.
• Leave the machine to run for about 15 minutes.
• Switch off the machine. Wait for it to cool completely and then drain off the excess demineralised
water.
