b) Switching on and off
The method of switching on and off is very simple, and effectively
prevents the user switching
procedure:
Locate the SET button on the SensorSwitch and hold it pressed in until
the centre LED lights up red. Now press buttons I and II in turn. The
battery backer is now switched on.
The system is switched off using exactly the same procedure: press the
SET button, wait until the centre LED glows red, then press buttons I
and II.

c) Setting the battery type
By default the backer is set to match Lithium-Polymer

- Connect both batteries to the PowerBox with correct polarity.
- Switch both batteries on using the SensorSwitch.
- Hold the SET button pressed in, and watch only the centre LED
on the SensorSwitch
- The LED will light up, then go out again after a while.
- After a few seconds the LED will emit one brief red flash. If you
release the button now, you have selected the battery type LiPo.
If you continue to hold the button pressed in until the LED flashes
twice, then release it, you have selected five-cell NiCd / NiMH
mode.
If you continue to hold the button pressed in until the LED flashes
three times, the voltage display is set to suit LiFePo (A123)
batteries.
Note that this procedure takes a few seconds; this is deliberate, and is
intended to prevent the user changing the setting accidentally. Your
selected setting is stored permanently in the EEProm.
