Connecting the AC power
cord
Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC
IN terminal on the player and to the mains.
A several space is left between the plug and the
rear panel even when the power cord (mains
lead) is inserted firmly. The cord is supposed be
connected this way. This is not a malfunction.
Note
Install this system so that the power cord can be
unplugged from the wall socket immediately in the
event of trouble.
When using another Sony CD
player in conjunction with this
player
The following procedure applies only when you
have a CD1/CD2-switchable Sony remote.
Switch the command modes of this player and
the other Sony player's remote to enable use of
the other Sony CD player with this player, using
the same remote.
Note
The command mode of this player's supplied remote is
CD1 (fixed). If you set this player to CD2, this player
will not accept its own remote signal.
To set the command mode of this
player

Press MENU on the player.

Turn . AMS > to select "CD1/2
SEL".

Press . AMS >.
The current command mode appears.

Turn . AMS > to select "CD – 1"
or "CD – 2", then press . AMS >.
If another Sony CD player's remote
command mode is CD1, set this player to
"CD-2". If another CD player's mode is
CD2, set this player to "CD-1".
